This question sticks out in my
mind today because of the issue of leadership. How can the leaders of tomorrow
become and remain strong in this tough world of today? The questions might be
on a personal measure within the souls of us; as the future or off-springs of
the baby boomers; which lived off of the old style of get you an education,
find you a job you can stand, have a family and work till retirement. Now in
our time finding a job is hard.
You can make a job but in this era people have kids. Homes have no fathers and the mothers are so young that grandparents are raising the children so that mom can work; or either mom isn’t around either. Some mothers never had responsibility so raising a child is not really their priority.

In the study found on http://www.legalmomentum.org/sites/default/files/reports/worst-off-single-parent.pdf
the rate of poverty in single mother families are at 63% in the US and
single mother employment rates are holding at a medium of 76% in the US. Now with both parents in the house are 6% and
a median of 15%.
So where is the examples most of my generation
was bought up on? Where are the men? Are strong leaders being formed? The
leaders of the past are very quite in this era because they are looking for the
young people to step up on their own and make the issues known and not be
looking for a handout because if you allow anyone else to lead you then it is
no more than having a puppet master to tell you to do this and do that so
quieter that they are in public the safer they feel. When behind the close
doors the ideal of seeing the young do better is the topic of teatime or dinner
conversations; other than the political outlook of how the government should be
ran. Where are the men? The count of men in prison now is around 840,000. How
many are in college or secondary learning institutes are 1.4million. This was
found on black males at http://www.npr.org/2013/04/23/178601467/are-there-really-more-black-men-in-prison-than-college.
When you look at the figures males are in college but the leadership that comes
from these students that do finish is nothing to shake a stick at. No one seems
to take life as serious anymore to live the American dream to build with
associates that are business minded and not dope boys/girls that want the fast
money now. No building is being done with most people coming out of school
because of dependability, looking for the easy way, not knowing how to handle
real business without the movements of sleeping your way to the top, or even
conspiring a drug cartel to make your mark of getting the funds needed to start
your beginning business.
Where is the leadership? Where
is the wizard behind the red curtain? Are you the next leader to lead? Ask
yourself and if not then find a person that is. If you can not find a person or not around any leaders. Than think team and you find your reason to lead and a good reason to lead.
